Thorne Chapel

One room, one bench, one rooflight. The walls are rammed from the earth dug for the foundations, in lifts of about three hundred millimetres that show as bands. The roof is slate, like every other roof in the valley. The square rooflight moves a patch of sun across the floor through the day, which is the whole point.
